These kits are great for those who are new to the coloured pencil medium. The kits allow you to work on practicing and developing various coloured pencil skills. By following the step by step instructions you will become experienced in applying coloured pencil pigment in a paintly approach, gradually building up layers of rich colour.

Six kits are now ready for purchase. More will follow.

Each kit comes complete with everything you need to get started. You just need your pencils and an eagerness to get creating!

Included in each kit:

a reference photo of the subject

a line drawing that you transfer

a palette list of required pencils

a sheet of Stonehenge paper to work on (a quality acid free print making paper)

an image of the finished piece (images of the work in progress are also provided when necessary)

step by step instructions providing details such as which pencils to use, recommended pencil pressure, point, as well as stroke

ideas for how this kit could be used in different ways to create other projects

 

Reflections Kit: Practice drawing glass and reflections while experiencing the dramatic effect of coloured pencils on black paper.

Tulip Kit: Practice building layers of colour, while creating depth and form in the blossom and stem of this lovely yellow flower.

Red Pepper Kit: Practice a unique approach to creating value. With step by step instructions in the grisaille technique, you will learn how to build value in this red pepper by colouring it green first! A great kit for learning how to see value changes.

Coffee Cup Kit: Practice building up layers of colour while creating interesting, dynamic areas of light and shadow.

Moth Kit: Practice controlling pencil pressure, as you gradually build up layers of colour to yield the soft tones of the moth's wings.

Pear Kit: Practice creating depth and form while building up layers of colour in the pears and the background.

Each kit is $15.00 (Canadian funds). Payment options include credit cards,debit cards, bank transfers and PayPal. Use the 'add to cart' buttons above. Currency will automatically be converted for International Orders. Minimal shipping charges will be added in the transaction.

Payment may also be made by cheque or money order. Please make payable to Teresa Mallen. Contact Teresa to request your kits. You will be provided a mailing address. Kits will be mailed upon receipt of payment.

Please note that these kits have developed for use with the Prismacolor Premier line of coloured pencils, (48 pencil set). If you own a different brand of pencils a colour swatch list can be provided. Match up your pencil colours with the Prismacolor pencils used in the kit and you are ready to work.
